It's my birthday week! To indulge in my love of creating outfits; here is my outfit for Monday from my Polyvore Closet. The best part about a virtual closet is you have an endless budget, weather doesn't matter, and everything fits! 

I love a pencil skirt with an over sized sweatshirt, and the length of this sweatshirt will keep the look polished and not frumpy. Big gold hoops are always favorite, and I love the shape of these. Adorable circle glasses and simple black heels. Perfect for birthday dinner with the hubby's parents!

Aloha Friday Everyone! 

Here's an update on my latest hair adventure...

First, I went on a Sally's (beauty supply store) shopping spree. My lovely sister gave me a $25 gift card for my birthday in January and I was saving it for a new hair day. Then, I got a 30% off coupon, dang I know, in the mail! Yippee!! So I stocked up on my basics and a few fun things ~ left with all this and paid only $2.44!

I love how long and simple these earrings are, they make a great accent piece to dress up any outfit.

Oh, how did I do my scarf like that you ask?! So cute, right! My blogger friend Stephanie at Henry Happened (click for directions) posted this new scarf style, I had to try it! Check her out for great DIYs and fun fashion advice. I'm still waiting for Michael's to get my iron-on studs so I can make this super cute heart sweater she posted a few weeks ago.

Grape Hair || Birthday Week

I love birthdays and on my birthday I celebrate for a whole week. Nothing extravagant but I'll spend any leftover Christmas gift cards. Spend any free stuff I have an loyalty cards. I sign up for anything that I get free stuff for my birthday, that's always nice.

I always get new hair and new polish. I very much need change in my life, so what better day to have new hair than your birthday!

I decided to do purple, well actually my sister said do purple. I just bleached out the remains of the pink I had and added this perfect purple. Manic Panic Purple Haze, I love Manic Panic. I also put it on the rest of my hair so it has a purple tint to blend better.

I think the most important thing I do on birthday week is be nice to myself. I make time for the face mask that never seems to happen. I don't plan stuff so I'm not rushing around not able to enjoy the day. I remind myself that I'm loved and that no one is a better me than me (thanks Jesus and Dr. Seuss) Happy Birthday Week!

Anyone else get diamond earrings for Christmas? I did; So excited I found these beauties on Esty and put them on my Amazon Wishlist, then my lovely sister got them for me! Lucky me!! They are so perfect.

Charming Charlie & Les Miserables

Sister Date! I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas. We certainly did, went to Hawaii to visit friends and family and came home to my sister visiting us in Milwaukee. Today we went on a sister date and went to one of those fancy theaters with big seats and food! I think I'll never go to a regular theater again...after the movie we stopped by Charming Charlie and spent a gift card from Christmas, I know that didn't last long. Check out my super cute animal finds!

Hello World!! Bold Blue Nails

I'm back! Man, I've missed you guys!
So in the last two months-
My honey got a new job in Milwaukee- we lived in Colorado Springs
Packed or sold everything
Moved to Milwaukee
I came back to Colorado to work for three weeks
Back to Milwaukee
Looking at buying a house for the first time! (I will be writing some tips about buying a home down the road, learned so much)
Reconnected with lots of friends, we both went to high school here...so we are moving back home, haven't lived here for 12 years!
I think that's everything.

New nails -
The blue is from my September Birchbox Color Club Insta-This $8- awesome color! One of my winter favorites - looks cute alone, or paired with neutrals/bolds.

Then on pointer and ring finger I used China Glaze Crackle Black Mesh $4, if you haven't used crackle nail polish...first off where have you been? Second go get some, every brand makes a similar polish now. Super easy to use and it is a really cool effect - just paint one coat, try your best to not paint over where you've already painted, then watch it split apart, really cool to see, then when dry use your favorite top coat.
