Summer Hair Pony With Crazy Twisty Front

I really love how weird this looks, it kind of happened by accident. Then I loved it and so I made a finished look, love when that happens!

Use whatever products would work best for you hair.

1. Works best with wet just washed towel dried hair. 2. Brush out hair so it's straight. 3. Brush all your hair, except for the front top (about from your bangs back 5 inches) into a pony. 4. Wrap a small piece of hair around your ponytail holder so it doesn't show. 5. With the front section that is out of the pony, take a small section, comb it so it's straight, now start twisting....as you twist it will naturally twist over its self. Now bobby pin it down. Keep doing this with whatever section size you like. I did 5 sections in my hair. 6. Add more bobby pins to any places where your hair is not laying the way you like. 7. Style your pony however you like, I did ringlets in mine and let it air dry.

I love coming up with summer styles I can do on wet hair, so much cooler for those 90 degree days. Let me know if you try this! I'd love to see pictures!

Summer Hair Pony Side Roll

When it's hot out I'm always looking for new ways to do my hair so it's fun, funky, different, cute, whatever... Just not the same everyday and up. Hope you like it!!

1. Pull all hair into a pony. 2. Take a small piece to wrap around your hair tie, bobby in place. (hate when you can see hair ties) 3. Take the pony hair and roll from the bottom so it lays to the side of the base of your pony. 4. Bobby pin in place from the front and back.

Fun summer hair!!

Shortbread Blueberry Crisp

I love crisps
Crisps with ice cream
Crisps with apples and berries
Yummmm

Shortbread Blueberry Crisp
I came across this recipe in a Martha Stewart magazine last year sometime and thought this looks so beautiful, I have to try it!  The crispy top is different than most crisps that call for cold butter and turns more crumbly. This is more of a shortbread cookie idea on top, which makes for something so delicious, something like I've never tried before. This has turned into one of my favorite desserts. Thanks Martha! I wish we were friends, someday.....

I hope you love this too!

Cheeseburger Salad

Happy Summertime to you! I'm trying more of the Pioneer Woman's recipes and came across this goodie, Cheeseburger Salad, I thought heck yes!

Cheeseburger Salad, yes those are pickles!! Yippee!

It was delicious! I highly recommend making this... I did a few minor changes for our tastes buds. Like doubling the sauce the meat is cooked in, I like saucy, minus onions, and I didn't make the hamburger bun croutons instead I made biscuits so if the honey didn't like the idea of cheeseburger salad he could scoop up the salad and eat it with the biscuits. He liked it, but asked why don't we just eat cheeseburgers? Ahhhh....I love him, but he agreed that this recipe was a keeper.

Thanks Pioneer Woman for another great recipe. What is your favorite Pioneer Woman recipe?

Frozen Goodness! Chocolate Peanut Butter Dipped Frozen Banana Bites

I've seen a few chocolate dipped bananas on Pinterest lately, perfect for summer hot days. I became obsessed with finding the best recipe after much searching and trying I've combined my favorite parts from a few different recipes to make what I think to be the winner. Hope you love them too! And they look so cute!! YUMMY!

Chocolate Peanut Butter Dipped Frozen Banana Bites

Chocolate Peanut Butter Dipped Frozen Banana Bites

Ingredients
  • 3 Bananas
  • 2 cups semi sweet chocolate chips
  • 1/2 cup peanut butter creamy or crunchy
  • 2 tablespoons peanut butter for drizzling on top
  • a few peanuts, chopped optional for topping
1. Start by slicing the bananas into 1/2-inch pieces. Place pieces into the freezer while your chocolate is melting. (You can do larger slices if you'd prefer)

2. Melt chocolate chips and 1/2 cup peanut butter on the stove, using a double boiler. While melting chop nuts, set aside. When done melting remove from heat.

3. Dip each of the banana pieces into the melted chocolate/peanut butter using a toothpick, and place dipped banana bites onto a wax paper covered cookie sheet.

3. In a microwave, melt the 2 tablespoons peanut butter in a container, watch careful maybe only 10-15 sec. Using a spoon, drizzle the melted peanut butter over the top of your banana bites. Top with chopped nuts.

4. Place back in the freezer until frozen, minimum 1 hour.

This is the perfect warm weather dessert!

I hope you love these as much as I do...

Hair Rolls

Summer with Pinterest

I loved this hair style the first second I saw it. I wish I had that bow pin too, so beautiful.

My Inspiration
This is one of my favorite things to do - See a picture of cute hair and figure out how to do it.

I'm pretty happy with my outcome, next time I would do the front higher.

In place of the bow pin, I used two barrettes that were my great grandmas, so sweet.

What a fun adventure so far! I hope you're having an awesome summer.

Headscarf Love

Summer inspired by Pinterest is turning out to be so fun!

I love the look of these headscarves...so I had a shirt I adored and it got snagged and ripped too bad to fix, the material was so colorful I had to make something. Then I thought headscarf!!

I just spiral cut the bottom of the top and there you have it awesome headscarf!

I wore it another time as a belt, so much you can do with a long piece of fabric.

Summer Inspired By Pinterest

I'll be shocked if you don't know what Pinterest is and a little sad for you because of what you're missing out on.

But, if you don't know it's one of my all time favorite things ever. It is an online "pin board" so anything that inspires you anywhere you just "pin" to your board. You can also name the boards whatever you like to organize your inspirations. You can follow people and "repin" stuff they pinned so you have it on your board. The other wonderful things about Pinterest is it saves where the original pin came from. So you you like a ring, or a recipe, or a decorating idea just pin it and then you can go back click on the picture and it will take you to the original site. All that to say Pinterest I love you, you encourage me, inspire me, and give me eye candy on the regular. Looking at my boards is one of my favorite things to do, it's like my own perfect magazine.

So this is mission for June, July, and August. Instead of just pinning all these things I love, I 'm going to use them to inspire my life. I will recreate outfits, try recipes, organize, craft, decorate.....actually do all the things I plan on doing after I pin something. (hahahah). Hope you have fun on this summer journey with me!

My Inspiration
Summer with Pinterest- Stacking wrist jewels...I love this picture it is by far my favorite wrist stacking, I've been wanting to recreate it for a while, so here it goes.
My stack

I like how it turned out, I used my pink Ecko watch as the center (my Rolex was in the shop...hehehe..) and I just used pearls for my stacking. Two of them are bracelets and the other two are necklaces that I double up to make a bracelet. It was really fun to find my inspiration and see what I could use to recreate.

P.S. If you don't already follow me on Pinterest, what are you waiting for??? (wink) (smiley face)

Do you love Pinterest too? Are you planning any fun adventures this summer?
